Because the cell wall of Candida (and all other fungal organisms) is made mostly of fiber, fiber-digesting enzymes can break it down. When the cell wall breaks down, the yeast dies, while causing virtually no healing crisis. While Candida can develop immunity to anti-fungal drugs and herbs, it has no defense against the enzymes in Candex™.

For 10 years, Candex™ has provided the most potent blend of plant-based, fiber-digesting enzymes available for those suffering from Candida. It is the only such product that has been studied in a human trial, and has helped countless people live richer, fuller lives. It works very quickly, overcoming common vaginal infections in just days, and making a difference you can feel—in even the worst of systemic problems—within a week or so.*

In attempts to appear unique or improve upon Candex™, some companies have added protease (protein-digesting) enzymes to the fiber-digesting enzymes in Candex™. There are two reasons we do not feel this is a wise addition. First, the protease is not necessary to complete the task. Secondly, protease enzymes may compromise the health of probiotics, which are the friendly flora that are essential for good intestinal health. These flora are almost compromised in those who suffer from the overgrowth of Candida.*

If you have yeast problems, or just want to keep yeast populations under control, count on Candex™!

Enzymes: The Intelligent Candida Solution

What is Candida?

Candida albicans is a yeast that is impossible to keep out of the body. When it grows out of control, it causes problems like localized (primarily vaginal or rectal) itching, depression, irritability, dizziness, unclear thinking, difficulty focusing, fatigue, gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, rapid weight loss or gain, etc. Its effects range from minor annoyances to completely debilitating. Up to 100 million Americans are thought to suffer from Candida overgrowth.*

Can I Control It?

Anti-fungal drugs and herbs are often used to combat candida. However, herbs have limited effect, drugs may damage the liver, and Candida can become resistant to both. Because of the way they attack the yeast, in addition antifungals can cause “die off” reactions that many people cannot tolerate.

Cellulase Enzymes: A Better Way

Cellulase and hemicellulase enzymes break down the fibers that candida’s cell wall is largely made of. Without a cell wall, yeast cannot function. Digestive aids do not provide enough of these enzymes to do the trick. These enzymes do not tax the liver, and Candida cannot become resistant to them. Because they break down the cell wall instead of “poisoning” the yeast, they do not cause a die-off reaction. This means that most people don’t have to feel worse before they feel better.

How Much Enzyme Activity Do I Need?

Over 20 years of experience tells us that 200,000 daily units of cellulase (CU) and hemicellulase (HCU) are ideal. Protein digesting enzymes (proteases) are not necessary and may aggravate certain problems that are common among Candida victims.

How Long Should I Use Candex™?

Four capsules of Candex™ per day (two in the morning and two at night) normally produce favorable results in one to four weeks. The time you’ll need to see maximum benefit depends on how much Candida you’re dealing with, your immune status, dietary habits, etc. When you’re feeling your best again, drop from four capsules per day to three. A week later, cut back to two. A week after that, cut back to one. If you feel any sign of regression as you cut back, resume four a day for another month, and then try cutting back again. While many people can completely eliminate Candex™, others need one or two capsules per day for maintenance.

When Will I Be Completely Yeast Free?

It is impossible to be 100% free of Candida. It is literally everywhere. We can’t keep it out of the body entirely. The goal is to keep it beneath levels that cause problems.

What About Die-Off Reactions?

Because Candex™ works mechanically rather than chemically, die-off reactions do not occur with Candex™. However, a very few people who use it experience nausea, “burning” in the stomach, severe abdominal cramping or diarrhea. This is because some people are sensitive to the enzymes that Candex™ contains. To avoid these problems, use one fourth of a capsule on day one, a half capsule on day two, and a whole capsule on day three. If these doses do not cause problems, increase to two capsules each morning and night. If any dose triggers discomfort, discontinue using Candex™. For best results, use Candex™ on an empty stomach with at least eight ounces of water.

Candex™: Shown in a clinical trial to be “safe and effective”

Laboratory studies show that Candex™ inhibits the growth of Candida in vitro. A clinical study of 52 patients showed that Candex™ is safe, effective, well tolerated, and causes no significant side effect. The physicians that conducted this study made “Candex™ their treatment of choice to reduce Candida in their patient population.” Candex™ is recommended by physicians, natural health practitioners, health clinics, and health food retailers throughout the country.

Can Children Use Candex™?

Candex™ is safe for children. About one capsule may be used daily for each 40 pounds of body weight.

Should I Use Probiotics With Candex™?

We strongly suggest using a high quality probiotic with Candex™.
